The Olympics may still be going strong, but though there were fewer shows, the ones that aired brought it this week, giving us plenty to discuss on the podcast. First we take a look at a few shows premiering in the next week (About a Boy, Growing Up Fisher, Mind Games), then we talk over the week’s comedies, including stellar installments of Girls and Looking, and we round up our discussion with the Star-Crossed pilot and the dramas: House of Cards season two, Justified, and True Detective. Afterward, we welcome Caroline Siede from The A.V. Club to the DVD Shelf to help us discuss Aaron Sorkin’s ever-optimistic, ever-walking, and ever-talking political fantasy, The West Wing.
