It’s another short podcast this week, as a work commitment forces Kate to keep things (comparatively) concise. There’s still plenty of TV to discuss, however, and Noel and Kate kick things off with a quick check-in on the penultimate episode of Top Chef: South Carolina before diving in with the comedies. The Televerse #284- Spotlight on Jane the Virgin, “Chapter Fifty-Four”

Between season finales, premieres, previews, and a surprise shake-up on Jane the Virgin, it’s been a big week in TV. The Televerse #280- 2017 Winter TV Preview

January is well underway and in TV, that means it’s premiere time once again. Noel and Kate turn their attentions back to weekly TV offerings and talk through a slew of comedies, including the fantastic new one Day at a Time, the premieres of The Mick, It’s Always Sunny…, and Man Seeking Woman, and fun installments of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Sweet/Vicious, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. We also dive in with a trio of recent socially-minded episodes from ABC’s comedy lineup: Fresh Off the Boat’s citizenship-centered “How to Be an American”, black-ish’s take on post-2016 election malaise, “Lemons”, and Speechless’ trope-busting “H-e-r-Hero”. It’s been a difficult week in our personal lives, so we’re keeping the podcast simple this episode, focusing on our week in TV without a DVD Shelf or special segment.
