With the Olympics dominating primetime, several shows took the week off, but those that didn’t for the most part delivered strong episodes, including Awkward., Wilfred, Louie, Squidbillies, The Newsroom (US), Political Animals, True Blood, Bunheads, and Alphas. After breaking down our week in TV, and talking Breaking Bad, which is back in the spotlight this week, we welcome Steven Schapansky of Radio Free Skaro to the DVD Shelf to discuss the cult-favorite ‘80s British children’s sci-fi adventure serial—which is a larger subgenre than one might think—The Tripods.
