TV’s midseason changeovers have started to occur and this week on the podcast, and during our week in TV, we take a look at several of them, including the finales for Parenthood, American Horror Story: Asylum, and Last Resort and the premiere of Spartacus: War of the Damned. Then we head over to the DVD Shelf, where we welcome Les Chappell of The A.V. Club and This Was Television to help us break down the British comedy classic, Blackadder.
It’s been a solid week of TV, with the comedies in particular having strong showings, but this week on the podcast, the focus is on Fringe, which concluded its five season run this past Friday. After talking through our week in TV, including the premiere of Archer, the pilots of Legit and Newsreaders, and the An Idiot Abroad premiere, we put The Following pilot in our second-ever Spotlight of Shame. Then it’s over to the DVD Shelf, where we welcome Noel Murray from the AV Club to help us break down the finale, final season, and entire run of Fringe.
